Back by popular demand!

Strega Nona returns with Big Anthony and Bambolona in time for Christmas and you do not want to miss this story.

Strega Nona is an award-winning series of children’s books written and illustrated by American-Italian author Tomie dePaola (1934-2020).

Set in Calabria, in southern Italy, the books tell the stories of Strega Nona or “Grandma Witch”. She is known throughout her home village for her numerous, magical remedies. Strega Nona is getting old, so she hires Big Anthony as her assistant to do the household chores. Let the adventures begin!

Children are invited to join the live story time in their PJs and bring their favourite stuffed animal to watch the story of Strega Nona.

The reading will take place online via a secure Zoom link, sent upon registration.

With thanks to the Society of Dante Alighieri, whose volunteer will be reading the story, in English, with permission from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing.

This book is available for sale in Canada at Indigo Chapters and 1% of net proceeds helps children in high-needs communities through the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation.

Appropriate for all ages.
